Hi, I'm Ben Jones, 15 year old CEO of Beggars for Peace. I Started Beggars for Peace because I wanted to create a message Tee that stood for something. After seeing all of the ego based and degrading messages on Tees (You’ll do; Inner Beauty Is Overated; etc...) I knew my generation had more substance than what we were being offered – I knew that everybody having to wear and/or read those inane messages were becoming just a little bit more stupid for having to stop and read and process the words, and generally the person wearing those ego Tee’s was hardly the role model of what my generation is beginning to stand for.
I saw my generation as being more thoughtful and articulate than we were being portrayed in today’s media – I envisioned a new progressive mindset that dwelled on concepts of peace, of justice, of caring…
I felt that these massive clothing and fashion companies were not giving my generation a chance to express themselves – walk down the halls of any High School and we all know the three or four brand name Tee’s that are walking those halls. Beggars for Peace offers a refreshing notion that we, our generation, can think for ourselves; that we do care what is happening in our world today, the world that we will inherit some day very soon.
So join me and everyone else who cares; beg for some peace today…because without peace, all of the money, love and fashion that you can imagine is not going to change the world for the better.
